Our Military Heritage

About This Project

This is the online submission portal for Our Military Heritage.

The Craigleith Heritage Depot has received a grant from Veterans Affairs Canada through the Commemorative Partnership Program to digitize and upload local veteran and military history. The Commemorative Partnership Program’s Community Engagement funding supports organizations undertaking remembrance initiatives including commemorative activities or the development of commemorative materials.

The military heritage of the Town of The Blue Mountains shares the stories of community members involved with military service and war efforts from the 19th century to today. This includes spotlights on individual stories, remembrance of community members' sacrifices, and research resources available at the Blue Mountains Public Library.

You are invited to share memorabilia in digital format, which will be included in the online exhibit. Share your pictures, stories, writings, recordings and more, right here.

Check back regularly with the online exhibit, which will grow with new submissions on an ongoing basis. Visit BiblioBoard Library to explore “Our Military Heritage” collection. Please contact the Craigleith Heritage Depot / Blue Mountains Public Library if you need assistance: http://thebluemountainslibrary.ca

For more local history visit the Craigleith Heritage Depot at: 113 Lakeshore Road East, in the village of Craigleith, in the Town of The Blue Mountains, Ontario, Canada or visit the website links below.
